Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 8: Begum Maqsooda sister of National Conference general secretary Sheikh Nazir Ahmad breathed her last at her residence in Soura, last night. The deceased was younger sister of Advocate Sheikh Nazir and was ailing from last few months. Her last rights were performed at Soura, this today, in which large number of people from all walks of life participated. Meanwhile, National Conference legislators and party leaders including district presidents and block presidents have condole the sad demise of Begum Maqsooda. In a joint statement, issued here today, the party leaders expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed to Almighty for peace to departed soul. Several party leaders also expressed their condolence to Sheikh Nazir telephonically. The party Legislatures and leaders who expressed their condolence include MLA's, Abdul Rehim Rather, Ajay Sadhotra, Sajad Ahmad Kichloo, Dr Chaman Lal, Mohd Aslam Khan, M.A Bukhari, Kr Rashpal Singh, Abdul Gani Malik Javid Rana, MLC's Ch Bashir Ahmad Naz, STS Wazir, Davinder Singh Rana, Sakina Akther and senior party leaders Sheikh Jalal-ud-Din, provincial secretary, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, Vice president, Former minister S.S. Salathia, Sr vice president Harbans Singh and P K Kachru.
