| Take notice of KP’s migrants problem’s Bazaz to Centre | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 9 Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF) a socio-political, has asked the centre to take notice of the problems being faced by Kashmiri Pandit migrants, particularly those living in camps in Kathua, Jammu and Udhampur. As per press release the condition of the migrants in tents in Kathua, Jammu and Udhampur is pitiable. The camps are no better than slums and it is unfortunate that the migrants have to survive in such conditions said JKDF president Bhushan Bazaz while interacting with media persons here today after a visit to some of these camps. Accusing the centre government of turning a blind eye to the migrants plight, he said the inhuman conditions in the camps in which the displaced people of Kashmir are living amply demonstrates the human rights abuse they are undergoing. Bazaz also alleged that the congress led government at the centre was ignoring the ground realities of the state. He also sought early settlement of Kashmir dispute of larger interest of the sub continent and has underlined the need for carrying forward the peace process between India and Pakistan and called for joint efforts to resolve the Kashmir issue in a time bound manner. |
