An army Tank turned turtle, during a training exercise, resulting in the on the spot death of its driver at Vijaypur, about 30 kilometers from here, last evening.
Sources said that the Tank (T-72) turned turtle during a training exercise at an army training field, last evening. Driver of the Tank, identified as Parkash Dandhe resident of Amravatty, Mahrashtra died on the spot. He was from 49 Armed Regiment, they added.
Talking to Early Times Defence spokesman Col SD Goswami confirmed the incident and said that the matter was being investigated. |
