| Poor show by J&K in Ranji Trophy | | Ajay Ratra, Manoj save Goa | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | Dec 10: Patient innings from international cricketer Ajay Ratra and Manoj Joglekar today helped Goa in surviving from early jolts bringing the side to a comfortable position of 104 for 4 after J&K bowled out on 147 in the Ranji Trophy Plate Group-B match underway at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, Goa innings were reduced to 42 for four after hosts skipper crumbled the visitors innings bowing out top three batsmen for 33 runs in 11 overs he bowled today. Samiullah Beigh also bowled good spell and clinched one wicket.
When the stumps were drawn both Ajay Ratra and Manoj Joglekar were batting confidently at 29 and 24 runs respectively adding 63 runs for the fifth wicket unbreakable partnership. Openers Sagun Kamat (14), Swadnil Asnodkar (22) contributed their share.
Earlier, resuming their innings from overnight score of 133 for eight, J&K could add only 14 runs to the total before the whole side bowled out. Majid Dar contributed 10 runs. Saurabh Bandekar and Robin D’Souza were the most successful bowlers with five and three wickets respectively
