The Devak Bridge at Vijaypur has become a death trap as all its railings have completely damaged and any mishap can occur at any time.
The oldest bridge with 121 pillars was also picturized in a song in Vijay Anand’s Film ‘Guide’.
The dilapidated condition of the bridge could be a cause of major tragedy if immediate steps are not taken right now for its proper maintenance and renovation , the commuters feel and urge the government to rise to the occasion and save the precious human lives before it is too late. |
