| MLA lays foundation of GHS Barta road | | | Early Times Reporter

MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia laid foundation stone for up-gradation of 4. 5 km High School, Barta road at a cost of Rs. 8 lakh under Infrastructure Development Programme (IDP) on the completion of road a population of 5,000 people of the area would be benefited.
Addressing people on the occasion, MLA said that with the up-gradation of this link road, the economic activity of the area would get a boost besides benefiting the school going children and ailing people in particular. This way their long felt demand of over 30 years would be fulfilled, Mr. Mankotia added.
Later, MLA also inaugurated 1 km Kawa to Scheduled Caste Mohalla link road being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.6 lakh under IDP which after completion would benefit nearly 1,000 population of the area.
Responding to the demands put-forth by the people including construction of additional classrooms at Government High School Barta and drinking water supply at Lower Kawa. He gave patient hearing to the demands and assured them there would be redress at the earliest. |
