Police today destroyed 1250 litre lahan and seized material used in manufacturing liquor at village Kotli Charkan in the jurisdiction of police station Bishnah.
Acting on a specific information that some persons were busy in manufacturing illicit liquor in the area, a police team led by SHO Bishnah Arjun Chib, under the supervision of DSP Yogesh Sharma, swung into action and raided the spot. Sources said when police team raided the spot, the persons who were busy in manufacturing the liquor, fled from the spot. Police has seized 1250 litres of liquor from the spot and later destroyed it and also seized material used in manufacturing the liquor. Police has also registered a case in this regard and started investigations in the matter. |
