| Peerzada holds NC responsible for neglect of border districts | | ‘Asks electorate to vote for Congress candidate’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 10 Holding previous National Conference regime responsible for the backwardness and under development of the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri, the Pradesh Congress Chief Peerzada Mohammed Sayeed charged NC neglecting these border districts in the matter of development during its 27 years rule in the state. Addressing largely attended election rallies at Mandi and Poonch to garner support for his party nominee, Sayeed said the people of this region look forward to a better and bright future by opening of under construction ‘ Mughal road’ setting up of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, University campus in Poonch, opening of five degree colleges, two of which have already started functioning, two separate tourism development authorities for promotion of tourism in the region. The PCC Chief said there is need to further activate the tourism, agriculture, horticulture sector besides electrification and augmentation of drinking water to the left out pockets and hitherto neglected area in these districts. Saying that the coalition government is doing well and its performance of last five years has been appreciated by the common people, Sayeed reiterated the government’s firm resolve to ensure balanced development of all the regions and areas, peace, progress and prosperity. He appealed to the electorate to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and the Congress party by making the party nominee victorious in the bye elections. Among others who also addressed these rallies included Ch.
