| People protest against killing of surrendered militant. | | | Jammu August22: A large number of agitated people today blocked the Bhaderwah road for about seven hours, in a protest against killing of a surrendered militant by the troops of Special Operation Group(SOG), in Bhaderwah.
According to reports, last night a patrolling party of SOG entered into the home of Azal s/o Mohd. Sharif r/o Massrian and shot him dead there on spot.
According to agitated mob, Azal was an activist of LET outfit and had surrendered last year but now he was living a very peaceful life.
Later on, the agitators reopened the road over the assurance of high level probe into the matter by the MLA and tehsildar of the area.
