Govt. Degree College Kathua lifted Dr. Surinder Sharma Memorial trophy for being the best team in the Inter Collegiate/Departmental Quiz competition conducted by the Department of Students welfare, University of Jammu.
Govt.College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu and Govt. MAM College bagged second and third position in the said competition.
It needs to be mentioned here that six teams out of twenty three teams in the quiz prelims conducted earlier qualified for the quiz final. The quiz included questions from general knowledge, art, culture, sports, history and science.
Dean Student welfare, Dr. DS Pathania on this occasion paid tributes to Dr. Surinder Sharma and said that Jammu University has instituted Dr. Surinder Sharma Memorial Trophy for the best in quiz in the memory of Late Dr.Surinder Sharma, Astt. Registrar, a young and dynamic officer of the University of Jammu who was snatched away by the cruel hands of the destiny in his prime youth.
The contest was held under the supervision of Viajy Attri, Asstt, Dean Cultural affairs. Others who presented on the occasion included Dr. Dhian Singh Bhau Assosciate Dean student welfare, Dr. Sarika Anand and Vinay Kumar Secretary Students cultural council. |
