| Only NC can lead JK towards Peace, Prosperity: Bakaya | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | Dec 17: Former Chief Secretary and National Conference leader Vijay Bakaya has said that the National Conference is a lone party which can lead the state towards peace and prosperity because its leadership has a vision and is internationally recognized as the most articulate voice of the State.
While addressing a public gathering of Kashmiri Pandits at Sarswati Vihar Bohri, Jammu today Bakaya asked Kashmiri pandits to political identify themselves by uniting and casting their vote in large numbers in the ensuing Assembly Elections to the NC candidates.
He said that the NC is a lone party which can lead the state towards peace and prosperity because its leadership has a vision and Dr. Farooq Abdullah is a leader who is internationally recognized as the most articulate voice of the State.
The other speakers on the occasion demanded comprehensive solution to the unemployment problem which they said was of urgent nature for the youth of the community.
The speakers also urged government to provide lanes and drains to the Sarswati Vihar, which is pending in the R&B department, be sanctioned and implemented immediately
Participants expressed their confidence in Bakaya's ability to provide leadership to the community and assured that they would strengthen his hands and the hands of the NC with their full might.
They pointed towards pressing problems of the community and hoped that Bakaya and the NC would address them to the satisfaction of the community.
Among others who spoke on the occasion include Ashok Hangloo, Moti Lal Bhat, M.K Bhat, N L Raina, Ram Ji Pandita and Ashok Tickoo. |
