| SRTC employees to get one month's salary on Eid eve: Hakeem | | | Early Times Reporter

State Road Transport Corporation has entered into an agreement with Housing and Urban Development Department for utilization of SRTC assets including land as joint venture. This would generate additional income for the corporation and help pull it out of the red.
This decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Transport Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen and participated by Finance Minister Mr. Tariq Hameed Karra, here today.
The meeting also decided to further streamline the functioning of SRTC Corporation to make it a viable corporation. It was stated that by generation of revenue SRTC employees would be paid one month's salary soon on the eve of Eid and two months salary in January, 2008.
Transport Minister appealed the employees to understand the difficulties and called upon them to refrain from going on strikes.
Secretary Finance, Mr. B. B. Vyas, Managing Director SRTC Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Lone and various senior officers attended the meeting. |
