Jammu | Dec 18
Panic gripped on the International Border in RS Pora sector during last night following firing of some shots. According to sources at mid night last night the alert jawans of 129 Battalion Border Security Force noticed some movement on the border at Kullian on pillar number 865 and challenged them. Three persons who were trying to cross the border to enter into Indian side ignored the challenge forcing the Jawans to resort to some firing shots upon which the intruders crossed back into Pakistan territory.
Sources said today morning when the jawans started searches on the border, they recovered some pairs of shoes and some clothes. Sources said about three to four persons had managed an unsuccessful attempt to cross the border which was foiled by the alert Jawans by challenging them.
The sudden firing on the border caused panic among the locals who came out of their houses to know the reasons. However, when they were told about the incident, they heaved a sigh and relief and returned back to their homes.
