Trikuta College win by 8-wkt in Champions Trophy

Jammu | Dec 19: Trikuta Cricket Club (TCC) today registered a big eight wickets victory over Birpur Cricket Club (BCC) to enter into the quarterfinals of the ongoing 5th JK Champions Trophy cricket tournament at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here.
Batting first, BCC bowled out for 123 runs in 23.5 overs of the 25 overs match. In reply, TCC chased the total in 19.3 overs losing only two wickets.
Earlier, despite a splendid knock from Amit Jamwal BCC could not make it a big score. Amit made 58 runs studded with four sixes and five boundaries. No other batsman had mentionable contribution. However, extras added second highest 21 runs to the total. From TCC, S Slathia clinched three wickets while Pranav, Sunny and Arun shared two wickets each. Pardeep Bali bagged one.
Batting second, TCC reached the required target of 124 runs in 19.3 overs with eight wickets intact. Pardeep Bali was top scorer with 52 runs including nine fours. Hardeep Singh contributed unbeaten 44 while a healthy sum of 23 runs came through extras. Amit and Bikram shared one wicket each from BCC.
Later, senior cricketer and Ranji Trophy player, Pardeep Bali was adjuged man of the match for his match winning innings. Today’s match was officiated by Santa Singh, Pappu and B B Verma.Trikuta College win by 8-wkt in Champions Trophy
