SMVDU holds EDP

To develop entrepreneur skills among the management scholars with focus on deriving benefits from various schemes tailored by the Central Government from time to time to give boost to starting own ventures, a month long seminar was today inaugurated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University this morning.
The Business Skill Development Programme, organized by the College of Management of the University in collaboration with the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, J&K, Jammu and Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. The programme is being organized as a part of MOU signed with the University.
The high profile seminar is being attended by over 70 participants comprising 30 final year MBA, MBA (BE), B. Tech Industrial Biotechnology and from other streams of engineering. Senior faculty members from various schools and colleges were also present during the inaugural ceremony
Besides the core faculty of the College of Management, expert faculty from various other institutions and representatives from the industry shall be interacting with the participants during the month long training programme which is expected to act as an interface between the university and the industry.
During the programme, the students will be taken for a industrial visit to various business establishments in and around Jammu for exposure on the subject and to develop case studies. After the inaugural function Director, SME, Jammu also held technical session on how to develop business attitude.
Among other present, Mr Virender Sharma, Programme Coordinator from MSME, JAMMU, Mr. R. C. Chopra Director MSME Jammu, Mr Rajesh Jain, President of Association of Small Scale Industries, Gangyal, Prof. J.P.Singh, Dean College of Management and Dr Hari Govind Mishra, Lecturer, College of Management SMVDU spoke during the inaugural function. The participants also spoke about the expectations from the training programme.
