Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 21 Law School of the University of Jammu today clinched the inter-college women’s Table Tennis trophy beating PG Departments 3-0 in the final played today at Gymnasium Hall of the University of Jammu, here. In the first singles, Mehak defeated Sunaina 2-1 (9-11, 11-8, 11-9) while the second singles was clinched by Savera Jamwal, who beat Meenakshi in straight sets 11-7, 11-4. Simran won the third match 11-4, 11-8 to help Law School make it a 3-0 win. Earlier, in the semi-finals, Law School downed Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur 3-1. The results: Mehak lost to Bhavneet Kour 11-4, 11-4; Savera bt Monica 11-6, 11-4; Simran bt Meenu 11-3, 11-2; (Reverse singles) Savera bt Bhavneet 11-7, 11-9. Today’s matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Vineet Kumar and Ashish Bhasin under the overall supervision of senior table tennis coach of the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu, Ramesh Magotra. |
