| Sikh federation celebrates martyr’s day | | | Early Times Reporter

The Martyr’s day of Baba Ajiit Singh and Baba Jujjar Singh elder sons of Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated at Gurdwara Lakhdatta Bazaar here today by the Youth Khalsa Sikh Federation (JKSF) and Sikh Istari Sudhar Sabha AISSF. The Sikh sangat of city participated in the Shahidi Diwas. The Shabad Kirtan was recited by Hazoori Ragi and head granthi of Gurdwara Lakhdatta Bhai Hardeep Singh.
While addressing the sangat, president AISSF, Param Jit Singh, said that Mugal rulers killed innocent persons and Guru Gobind fought many battles against them. In a battle at Chamkour Sahib in Punjab Guru directed his sons to wear uniform and send them to fight with Mugal army. Both the sons fight bravely and laid down their lives and gave great sacrifices for the sake of religion and the country. Singh stressed upon the Sikh youths to become Amrit Dhari and wear turban compulsory inspite of patka on their heads and follow the teaching of Guru Sahib.
Among others who participated in the function were Tejinder Singh, Manjeet Singh, Jagmohan Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Sukh Pal Singh, Jagmeet Singh, Ramneet Singh, Ajit Singh and Harmal Singh. |
