| Army anti-tank rockets land in border school | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 21 Two anti-tank rockets fired by the army during an exercise landed in a school compound in a border hamlet in the district, triggering protests by locals today. Army was conducting a firing exercise in Khour area when the two rockets flew over the firing range and fell in the compound of a primary school in Chamarki village near the Indo-Pak border yesterday, official sources said. Though the rockets did not explode in the school which was closed during the exercise, panic gripped the area after this incident. Locals held a protest in the area demanding shifting of the nearby firing range. Army troops later removed the unexploded rockets. |
