Four main conspirators, including a girl, involved in the Bakra murder case, who have been absconding for more than one year are reportedly hiding in Jammu city and are in touch with some other criminals for committing yet another murder.
According to sources, the main four conspirators in the Bakra murder case, including a girl, working with the under world along with her lover, are absconding and evading their arrest by the police, after they committed a murder and are reportedly hiding in a rental house in the outskirts of the city and waiting for opportune time to commit another murder. Sources said the alleged accused have taken a house on rent in Paloura area and are living there without any fear or threat.
Sources claim that the accused had also hired ‘Sunny’ for the murder of the Bakra’s younger brother, who had opened fire on the police party at Manda, when police was chasing him. Sources said Sunny was on way to collect weapons from a criminal in the Bus Stand area when police noticed him and chased him up to Manda. To evade arrest, he opened fire on the police party and succeeded in lodging the police leaving behind his vehicle. At that time, one more criminal was accompanying Sunny and both the criminals fled from the spot and are currently hiding at a safe place.
Sources said Monika Sharma alias Ambika daughter of Subash Chander Sharma, resident of P&T Colony, Talab Tillo, a B. Ed student and her lover Kapil, a gangster, who were reported to be staying together, after fleeing from Jammu immediately after Bakra was shot dead, are reported to have returned back to Jammu after about two months and hired a house in the out skirts of the city and are in regular touch with Palla and Deepu, who are also conspirators in the Bakra murder and some other members of their gang. Sources said they also planed another murder for which they had hired Sunny and one more criminal and gave them ‘Supari’ for the purpose.
According to reports, Kapil, Monika, Palla and Deepu, the four accused involved in Bakra murder case have been evading their arrest for the last over a year and have been absconding since then.
As reported earlier, under a conspiracy, Monika entered into telephonic friendship with Bakra for 15-20 days and on Nov 25 (Saturday) morning she called him(Bakra) to the house of Dr Kudiyar on the pretext of getting her mother examined. While Palla followed Bakra from his house, Kapil kept a vigil at Main Road Trikuta Nagar, while two others namely Cheer and Thakur killed him. All of them were in touch with each other on telephone and had deserted Jammu after the killing.
Police said the criminals had used routes of rural areas to reach Basohli and traveled in Steamer to enter Punjab and then to Dalhousie. At Dalhousie, Kapil and Monika, jointly left for an unknown place, while Rajesh Dogra alias Mohan Cheer of Tali Morh, New Plots and Vishal Singh alias Vicky Thakur of Raipur, Bhalwal, reached Delhi via Jalandhar, where they were arrested from a hide-out in New Delhi. Sources said since the arrest of Thakur and Cheer from the Delhi, the four other accused are absconding. They included Kapil, Monika, Palla and Deepu, active conspirators and the Court has also issued non bailable warrant against them.
Sources said after their return from the hideout, all the four conspirators are living together in the Jammu and are planning yet another murder, but are far from the reach of the police.
Sources said the family members of Bakra have also written to the Human Rights Commission and the police that they have been receiving threats of their elimination and are very much scared.
According to reports, after the arrest of Thakur and Cheer from Delhi, no major step was taken by the police to apprehend the other four main conspirators behind the murder of Bakra.
According to reports on Nov 25, 2006 Sanjay Kumar alias Bittu alias Bakra, who had surrendered before police in 2000, was gunned down by two criminals inside the house of a reputed Endocrinologist and HoD Medicines in GMC Jammu, Dr Rattan Kudiyar at Trikuta Nagar. The 38- year Bakra son of Suraj Prakash, resident of Mast Garh in old City, was trapped by two criminals using a girl by giving him a call on his Cell phone No. 9419141104 and shot him dead by using two weapons- a pistol and a shot gun- in the lawns of Dr Kudiyar’s house within seconds after his arrival in his Santro car No. 8117 JK02B at 9.15 am. According to police, Bakra was telephonically called to Trikuta Nagar by a girl. Bakra was reportedly trapped by the criminals using a girl, who had been talking to him on his phone for past fortnight. |
