| ‘Remove wage difference in PHE deptt’ | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 22 Former member parliament and senior vice-president Pradesh Congress Committee Dharam Paul Sharma has expressed concern over the difference of wages of PHE employee engaged on need basis in the state. In a statement issued here today Sharma has said that the govt. has engaged unemployed youth in the PHE department on need basic but it is a matter of serious concern that employees of Jammu province are being paid a Rs. 500/-, 800/-, 1400/- per month whereas the employees engaged on similar pattern in Kashmir province are being paid Rs 2100 per month. He described it discrimination with Jammu people and demanded that this anomality should be removed immediately. He also supported the other demands of the PHE associations like regularization of services of daily wagers, who have completed 7 years and regular payment of wages etc. |
