| Enhancement in wages for Anganwadi workers sought | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 22 The Senior Congress Leader and chairman, All India Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation, Z.A Bhatti has urged upon the chief minister to enhance the wages of Anganwadi workers, helpers from Rs. 1300 to 4000 and Rs.600 to Rs. 3000. Wihle addressing party workers Bhatti alleged that workers engaged between 1994 are struggling for their rights but till date no concrete steps has been taken in their favour. He said, these workers are living in very difficult conditions as prices of essential items are touching new height. He further appealed to the government enhance the age of retirement from 58 to 60 years, beside demands early regularization of the adhoc Anganwadi workers. Bhatti also appreciates the stand adopted by the chief minister with regard to six pay commission report in favour of the employees. |
