| Body in want of ''due honour'' at LoC | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 23 The body of an infiltrator is lying unattended between the borders of the two nations at LoC, as each side is shrugging off its responsibility. The body of an unidentified infiltrator, who was killed in a counter-infiltration operation by the security forces, is lying unnoticed on the other side of the Munawar Tawi, river close to the LoC. The ''dishonoured'' body, which is believed to be carrying ''secret security-related information'', has now started decaying on the bank of a river close to the Line of Control (LoC) in the Sunderbani area of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. ''It (infiltrator's body) is still lying on the bank of Munawar Tawi, and apparently, it seems that it has started decomposing,'' official sources said. Moreover, the body of infiltrator has become a bone of contention for the troops on the both sides, who are guarding it all days and nights since he was killed during the infiltration bid at Dadal border outpost in the Sunderbani last month. Due to the prevailing extreme cold conditions, the decomposition of the bullet-ridden body has not been fast but the process has started from the wounded parts and those which are in touch with the flow of stream. ''Had it been the summer, the surrounding area, including that under Pakistan's control, would have been stinking due to the rapid decomposition of human body,'' an official said. |
