| Soldiers, civilian injured in encounter | | | Early Times Reporter

Two soldiers and a civilian were injured in a fierce encounter which is continuing between militants and security forces at Panditpora in the Kashmir valley today, official sources said.
Efforts were being made to flush out the holed up militants, the sources said adding a group of militants opened fire on security forces and when they retaliated, the militant entered a mosque.
A defence ministry spokesman confirmed the encounter and said that repeated announcements are being made through public address system asking the militants to surrender. |
