A 20-member fencing team today left for the 18th Senior National Fencing Championship to be held in Kerela from December 27 to December 30.
The state team, selected by the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Fencing Association, is comprised of 12 men and six women fencers as also two coaches. Earlier, the fencers underwent an 18-day coaching camp held at MA Stadium, here.
The team: Men: Rashid Ahmed, Sanjeev Suri, Ujwal Gupta, Jeet Singh, Varun Dev, Vikram Salathia, Ankush Gupta, R Aggarwal, Manvinder Pal Singh, Ajay Singh, Pritam Singh and Tony. Women: Shivani Hans, Sania Arora, Dimple Thakur, Richa Sabharwal and Manita Sharma. Coaches: Shotu Lal and Richa Jamwal. |
