In a friendly cricket match played at GGM Science College ground, here today, Berger Paints XI registered a big 117 runs victory over S3 XI.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, S3 XI set a big target of 213 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 25 overs, which, in reply, Berger Paints XI could not chase and the whole side bowled out below 100 runs mark on 96 in 15.5 overs.
Charan was top scorer with 46 while Vikram and Ashwani (not out) contributed 42 and 41 runs respectively. Suresh and Rakesh shared two wickets each while Ashwani took one.
Batting second, Berger Paints XI were in never in winning mode after their wickets fell on regular intervals thereby making an end to the innings at 96 in 14.5 overs. Rajan and Suresh were highest scorers with 19 and 15 runs in their respective accounts. Dinesh was most successful bowler from S3 XI with three wickets. Gagan and Manhas shared two each. |
