| KC International School celebrates annual day | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 23 In connection with the first Annual Day, KC International School, Jammu organised an impressive function at Gen.Zorawar Singh Auditorium here today. Minister for R&B Gulchain Singh Charak was the chief guest while Vice chancellor Jammu University, Prof. Amiatbh Mattoo was the guest of honour on the occasion. Members of the Board of Management of School, were also present. The students presented an impressive cultural show and enthralled the gathering. A large number of parents of the children also witnessed the programme besides the school staff members and other invitees. While welcoming the chief guests and others, Co-ordinator of the School, Gayatri Kotwal gave brief account of the school activities. Principal, Subhendu Sarkar read out the annual general report, giving detailed account of the achievements. Speaking on the occasion, Charak said that government is making every possible effort in providing education at their door step by opening schools in every nook and corner of the state. He said lately creation of 18 new degree colleges was part of government effort to spread network of education. He asked the teaching fraternity to work with devotion and dedication to bring out best in the students and develop their personality in such a way that they could face challenges of globalization and modernization The chief guest distributed awards and prizes among the winners of various academic and co-curricular activities. Trophies were also awarded to different ‘Houses’ of the School in recognition of their supremacy in academics, sports, music and fine arts. |
