Guru Teg Bahadur remembered

Welfare Association Trikuta Nagar (WAT) in association with administration of Gurudwara Bala Pritam Sec 3 of the same locality organized a religious occasion to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur and his disciples.
Devotees irrespective of religion and caste participated in the occasion. Special prayers were offered to the Guru and his devotes including Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dayal Das who laid their lives for upholding the principles of righteousness, religious freedom, communal harmony and spiritual resurgence and preservation of Dharma for the whole nation at a time when there were forces to retrograde, destabilize the amity and cultural cohesiveness of the entire nation. Prominent who spoke on the occasions were Raman Bhalla MLA Gandhi Nagar, Amar Nath Vaishanvi, Swami Kumar Ji, Prof C.L. Sadhu organizing secretary WAT, R K Mattoo, Dr Rajiv Bhat, IGP (Retd) S S Bijral and others from Gurudwara administration also spoke on this occasion.
Raman Bhalla MLA Gandhinagar who was the special invitee on this occasion exhorted the gathering to follow the path set by the Sikh Guru Maharaj. He also said the tolerance equality and oneness are the key words to bring the strife ridden society back to then track and thus the preaching of the Guru Ji have relevance in present times.
Paying their obeisance to the holy Guru Ji and his disciples others speakers threw light on the life sketch of Guru Ji and their selfless contributions to the society and mankind in particular to the upliftment of the down trodden and oneness among the then segregated society in caste and religion. They also laid stress for the communal harmony, peaceful and coexistence to be transmitted to the younger generation for a better society.
