| J&K struggles at 42 for 2 after Rajasthan makes 302 | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 24 Jammu and Kashmir lost their early two wickets of Adil Rishi and Imran Haroon in reply to Rajasthan’s first innings total of 302 in the semi-finals of Cooch Behar under-19 cricket tournament underway at IOF Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh today. However, Mehraj-u-Din Sheikh and Aditya Pratap Singh were playing confidently with 22 and 11 runs in their respective accounts thereby bringing the score to 42 for two in 13 overs at the end of first day’s play, the reports reaching here said. Earlier, J&K won the toss and put Rajasthan to bat. J&K bowlers, especially, Manik Gupta and Mohd Muddassir succeeded in taking early wickets, but a fine innigns played by skipper, Sumit made all the difference. The superb knock of 98 runs from Sumit pushed Rajasthan’s score past 300 mark. Spin bowler, Manik (22.1-4-71-5) was most successful while Mohd Muddassir (22-3-83-3) and Parvez Rasool (12-3-54-2) also bowled well. |
