| Kitchloo demands degree college for Marwali | | | Early Times Reporter Kishtwar | Dec 25 MLA Sajad Ahmed Kitchloo in a statement issued here today said, the residents of Padar, Dachan and Marwah far flung areas of the Kishtwar constituency have taken a serious note of coalition government which deprived the area of a degree college. He said chief mininster had assured the people of the area that a degree college will be opened. Kitchloo expressed serious concern over the way the coalition government has neglected the area of Parder Dachan and Marwah while proposing opening of 18 new Degree Colleges. He said these areas have a population of more than one lac and there is no degree college within the radius of 50 Kms, due to which the students of these far flung areas have to face difficulties in pursuing higher studies as they cannot afford education outside the constituency/district. He said “ the government cannot play with the career of the youth of these far flung areas and cannot deprive them of getting college education”. He has asked the government that keeping in the view genuine demand urges and aspirations of the people of Pader, Dachan and Marwah the government should announce opening of Degree College at these places, failing which he will have no other option than to resign from the membership of the Legislative Assembly. |
