Woman impersonates as sister for job

Crime Branch received a communication from vigilance organization that their office has received an anonymous complaint alleging therein that one Shagufta a/o Nazir Ahmed Mir r/o Nawakadal was appointed as class IV employee under SRO 43, but her elder sister Ulfat W/o Munshi Reyaz joined against the said post.
Accordingly case FIR No. 22/2005 U/S 419, 420 RPC registered in crime branch Srinagar. During the course of investigation relevant record was seized and necessary evidence collected.
It came to light during investigation that mother of Shagufa Zamrooda got killed during cross firing in 1992 and her daughter Shagufta applied for government job under SRO 43, D.C. Srinagar issued an order of appointment as class IV employee in respect of Mst. Shagufta on 22.11.2002 and was adjusted in the office of disease investigation and research institute Zakoora in animal husbandry department. During this period and Mst. Shagufta got married in a rich family, who usually reside out side the state. The appointment order was received by her sister namely Ulfat who joined for the job impersonating herself as Shagufta. She also succeeded in arranging school certificate and state subject certificate of her sister and produced the same in concerned office, giving the notion and she is Shagufta. Thus succeeded in drawing salary for 08 months, subjecting the concerned department to wrongful loss.
Meanwhile the Crime Branch has also produced challan against three accused persons for arranging a fake passport in favour of Abu Talha (Dy. Chief LET). On specific information regarding presence of said militant and his financial organizer Ishfaq Ali Rah in a migrant house in Rainawari, SDPO Khanyar with his nafri and other security forces condoned the area and a search operation was started. During the operation Abu Talha managed to escape but his associate Ishfaq Ali Rah was arrested. On his disclosure some arms ammunition and one Indian Passport NO.0335252 favouring Abu Talha on the assumed name of Irfan Ahmed Dar was recovered. Consequently a case FIR No. 6/2000 was registered in P/S Rainwari.
During the course infestation relevant documents related evidence was collected from concerned quarters. It came to surface during investigation that passport in question was issued by the concerned authorities against fake verification report. The passport in question was issued to the beneficiary ten days prior to receipt of verification report. The involvement of passport officer could not be established during investigation process because the relevant file related to preparation of passport was not available in the passport office but was destroyed by one Showket Ahmed Dar an employee of passport office. The case has been closed as challenged against three accused persons namely, Abu Talha, Rashid R/o Pakistan assumed name Irfan Ahmed Dar S/o Ghulam Hassan R/o Nowgam Bye Pass, Ifran Ahmed Rah S/o Ali Mohd. R/o Nowgam, Bye Pass and Showkat Ahmed Dar S/o Mohd. Abdullah Dar R/o Channapora, in the court of law.
