| JWAM held protest against sacrilegious act | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 25 Members of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today lodged a protest against the sacrilegious acts that took place at different parts of the Jammu region some days back hurting the emotions of a particular community. Addressing protestors on the occasion, JWAM President Sunil Dimple lashed out at state government for being a mute spectator on the issue of sacrilegious acts that are taking place frequently in the region from past quite some time. "Government is looking very lenient towards anti-social elements who with their nefarious designs are dead bent to disturb the communal harmony of the state and creating wedge between different communities," he added. JWAM president also demanded that government should deal with iron hands to these anti social elements and put them behind the bars. He further warned the state government that the community members will not tolerate these kinds of incidents in future which hurt the sentiments of a particular community repeatedly. Demanding the ban on Cow slaughter through out the state, Sunil Dimple said that it is need of an hour to maintain the communal harmony across the state to save the religious sentiments of a community from getting hurt. Raising slogans against the Pakistan, the protestors on the occasion burnt the flag of the Pakistan. |
