| JK Champions Trophy: Trikuta Club sails into semis | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 25 The star studded side of Trikuta Cricket Club (TCC) today registered a comfortable five wickets victory over Ali’s Cricket Club (ACC) to sail into the semi-finals of the ongoing 5th JK Champions Trophy Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College grounds, here. Earlier, batting first, ACC bowled out for 138 runs in 23.3 overs of the 25 overs match, which, in reply, TCC attained in 21.3 overs with five wickets in hand. Sami, who could not complete his half century and bowled out on 49, remained the top scorer from ACC. Shoaib contributed 30 runs while another 30 runs came through the extras. Pranav Mahajan was most successful bowler from TCC with three wickets, followed by Hardip Singh Prince, who took two. Dhruv Mahajan and Pardeep Bali shared a piece each. Later, TCC chased the target of 139 runs for the loss of five wickets with 3.3 overs to spare. Pardeep Bali was maximum run getter with 63 (off 57 balls, 7x4, 2x6) while Hardip Singh Prince made unbeaten 29 including three boundaries. Dhruv Mahajan and Vivek Singh added 11 and 10 runs respectively. For his superb innings, Pardeep Bali was adjudged man of the match. He was given away the trophy by Narinder Kumar and Vikram Singh, who were special guests in today’s quarterfinal match. |
