| DUDA conducts IT training course | | | Early Times Reporter Udhampur | Dec 26 To provide training to the students belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families of the town, the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Mr. O.P. Kalandria inaugurated One-Year Computer Course in Information- Technology at Virtual Computer Education Centre, Shiv Nagar, Udhampur, today. The training programme has been arranged by District Urban Development Agency (DUDA), Udhampur in which 25 students belonging to BPL category would be imparted training. The Agency would also extend financial assistance to the tune of Rs.5, 000 per student for under-going training. Project Officer, DUDA, Udhampur, Mr. Jaffar Abass, Managing Director, Virtual Computers, Mr. D.D. Sharma and Centre Head, Mr. Gagan Sharma were present on the occasion. Appreciating the efforts of DUDA for conducting IT course to the deserving poor students, the DDC said that the efforts would go a long way in ameliorating the lot of such students who complete the course successfully. He said that the computer applications have emerged as vital component in present scenario. Hoping that the best students would be absorbed in different services with good salary perks thereby solving unemployment problems to some extent. He exhorted upon the trainers to provide best computer education to the students to pave the future of poor students. |
