Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 26 Zahoor Ahmed of district Bandipore clinched the prestigious sprint gold in the two-day inter-district state level under-17 boys athletics meet which was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at University of Jammu grounds, here today. Second place in 100 mts race went to Showkat Ahmed of district Budgam while Munish Bhat finished third. Zahoor, who emerged as fastest runner of the meet, also shared third place in Long Jump. Later, medals were distributed among the winners by the Assistant Director Physical Education, University of Jammu, Dr Sonam Angchuk, who was chief guest in the valedictory function. Assistant Director DYSS and organizing secretary, Ashok Kumar was among other prominent personalities present. The athletics meet was part of the annual calendar of sports activities by the DYSS.
