| 15 KILLED, 30 INJURED as bus skids off | | |
Jammu,August 23 : At least fifteen passengers died while 30 others were injured in a road accident when their bus skid off the road and rolled down a deep gorge near Sain Gaji in Darhal in Rajouri district on Wednesday morning
Fourteen injured were airlifted to Jammu medical college while others were undergoing treatment at Rajouri.The condition of atleast four passengers was stated to be critical till the
time of filing the report.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Farooq Khan
said," fifteen passengers including two women died and atleast 30
others were injured when ill fated bus rolled down near Sain Gaji in Darhal Wednesday morning".
The bus was on its way from Darhal to Rajouri
when it met with an
accident.Driver of the bus was among those killed in the accident.
According to conductor of the bus Jawar Singh, the bus rolled down the hill while driver was negotiating a sharp turn. He said due to bad condition of the road, the bus lost its balance and driver failed to handle the situation resulting in tragic road accident. |
