| Mufti hailed for efforts on Parnai hydro prject | | | Early Times Reporter

Senior leader of People's Democratic Party (PDP) Mr.Rafiq Khan today met former Chief Minister and Patron of PDP Mr.Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and apprised him of the demands of people from various areas of border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
In an hour long meeting with the patron of the party, Mr. Khan thanked him for taking personal interest in getting Parani hydro-electric project started which had been pending since long. The project has the capacity of generating 50 megawatts of power and irrigating more than 30,000 acres of land.
Mr.Khan requested Mr.Mufti Mohammed Sayeed to take up the issue of upgradation of Girls high schools at harni, barooti and sangiot areas with the high authorities. He further requested him to for the upgradation of Middle schools at sanvot, sarut and goursai to high schools. He also sought early completion of
various projects at upper Naka Manjayari, Chatral Banola and Sangoiot.
Khan also urged the PDP patron to use his good offices for seeking Schedule Tribe Status for the pahari speaking people. |
