| Hakeem for constituting committee to identify areas for opening of new colleges | | | Early Times Reporter

President PDF and Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has urged upon Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad to constitute a high power committee for identifying areas deserving opening of Degree colleges.
In a statement issued here today, Hakeem Yaseen said that new colleges have been sanctioned recently by the government considering the need of the various areas. He said the selection of areas have been made purely on merit and there was no interference from any quarter.
Hakeem said that the steps taken by the coalition government for uniform development of all areas of the state are highly appreciable. He said politicizing of sensitive issues like opening of new colleges is un-called for as such matters could be settled amicably. |
