| Speaker reviews arrangements for Assembly Session, | | Lauds police, security agencies, media for significant role in bringing normalcy | | Early Times Reporter

Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Tara Chand reviewed the arrangements for the ensuing Assembly Session at a high level meeting of officers held here today.
He impressed upon concerned departments/agencies to make necessary arrangements pertaining to their departments for smooth conduct of budget session beginning on January 7, 2008 at Jammu.
Lauding the role of J&K Police, security agencies and media, Mr. Tara Chand said that these two have played significant role in bringing the normalcy in the State. He said during the turmoil in the State, they have displayed professionalism, which has been acknowledged by all.
He asked the security agencies to make foolproof arrangements in and around legislature complex, MLAs Hostel and other locations where Members stay during the session. He also asked for proper parking of vehicles for Members and media persons in the Secretariat premises during the session.
Mr. Tara Chand instructed the Information department to ensure timely dissemination of news to various agencies. The Information Department shall also make arrangements for press briefing in Assembly lawns, the Speaker maintained.
