District Magistrate Jammu Mr. Hirdesh Kumar Singh in exercise of power vested upon him under section 144 Cr.P.C. has ordered that no processions shall be taken out by any individual or groups of individuals and no provocative slogans shall be raised by any one in the area of Bajaj Tower to Amar Filling Station, on Flyover from Police Control Room to District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) behind New Secretariat, Jammu, on Flyover from Subash Chowk (Maheshpura Chowk) to DIET and Rotary behind New Secretariat to New Secretariat.
However, this order shall not apply to marriage and funeral processions.
This order shall come into force with effect from December 26, 2007 for a period of two months or till rescinded which ever is earlier. |
