DDC hands over 51 copies of mutations
Ownership Rights conferred to 3237 persons under Roshni Act

District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Ms. Sarita Chauhan distributed 51 copies of mutations certificates to the beneficiaries of Roshni Scheme in an impressive function at Hiranagar today.
MLA, Hiranagar, Mr. Girdhari Lal and MLA, Billawar, Dr. Manohar Lal were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the jubilant gathering at Mini Stadium, Hiranagar, Mr. Girdhari Lal lauded the efforts of Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad for conferring the ownership rights of agricultural land to the farmers free of cost. He also appreciated district administration for preparing the mutations papers of the deserving farmers after an on spot verification. He also demanded early completion of Bhag Nallah Bridge, more BADP funding and introduction of all the streams in Government Degree College, Hiranagar.
MLA, Billawar, Dr. Manohar Lal while addressing the gathering said that Roshni Schemes is a blessing for the farmers who were dependent on the state land but had no rights. He also lauded the efforts of district administration in completing the ownership papers within a short span of time.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC, Kathua, Ms. Sarita Chauhan disclosed that 51 copies of mutations have been distributed so far to the farmers conferred ownership rights.
She further disclosed that a total of 4786 applications were received in Tehsil Hiranagar out of which ownership rights have been conferred to 3237 people of the agriculture land measuring 13646 kanals, 19 Marlas in Hiranagar Tehsil alone.
The DDC informed that for Basohli and Billawar Tehsils the requisite papers have been completed and ownership rights of Agriculture land will be conferred shortly.
She appealed the people that whosoever has got notice under Roshni Act should deposit the requisite fee so that mutations can be effected in their favour.
