| Development in Block Pancheri discussed | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 27 Peace NGO organized a seminar on “Development in Block Pancheri” in village Meer of block Pancheri, Distt. Udhampur. Dr. Romesh Chander, Minister of State for P.H.E was chief guest on this occasion where as Narinder Sharma, President PEACE presided over the function. S.E. (Hyd.) Udhampur, Distt. Officer Social Welfare, G.M. Industries, Ex. En. (Irri.), Asst. Dir. (Hosp. & Prot.), S.H.O. Pancheri, A.E.E. (P.H.E) and other officers attended the function. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Romesh appreciated the efforts of the N.G.O to organize such seminar in this fare flung and backward area. He said that N.G.O.s can play vital role in monitoring various development activities being initiated by Cong. lead Govt. He said that Govt. is committed to extend industrial activities in rural areas with more incentives and subsides. Narinder Sharma in his address highlighted the activities of the N.G.O for the betterment of the mankind. He said, the old age persons above the age of 60 yrs should be benefited by newly started “Indira Gandhi Old Age Pention Scheme”. A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students of private schools. Blankets were also distributed among poor widows and destitutes. Among others Des Raj Ravi Khajuria, Jung Bahadur, Jeet Singh, Parkash Singh, S. Parvinder Singh, Rajesh Pardhan, Rajan Sharma, Vinay Sharma, Narinder Paul, Gopal Singh, Krishan Singh, Bodh Raj, Parmodh Singh and Romesh Singh also addressed the gathering. |
