Reservations on economic consideration sought

The Dogra Brahman Pritanadi Sabha (DBPS) have urged upon both state and central government to provide reservation on the basis of poverty and not caste system. Addressing the Sabha workers Devraj Baru the president and its chief patron S.N.Sharma said youth of the Brahmans he also given reservation facilities is recruitment promotions and professional colleges in the state and stop discriminatory policy. Members also urged for implication of SRO 294 of 2005.
During the meet Shree Kerni was nominated as president of the Parshuram Dal with the powers to establish units of Dal throughout the Jammu region. Members also decided to organize a meeting of Brahmin intellectuals to discuss socio-political issue concerning Brahmini community.
