| Arun is senior most among current internationals: JKFA | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 27 As desired by the General Administration Department (GAD), the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) has recommended names of four current international players to government for considering the same for annual State Sports Awards announced on Republic Day. As part of the exercise on part of the government to collect names of the international players from Jammu and Kashmir, the GAD had written to all the sports associations through J&K State Sports Council. “As part of the exercise from the GAD to collect names of outstanding sportspersons, we have forwarded names of four current international football players to the Government through J&K State Sports Council for consideration,” general secretary of the JKFA, Bashir Malik told SAN. He maintained that of these four current international footballers, Arun Malhotra of Jammu is the senior most, followed by Mehraj-u-Din Wadoo and Ishfaq Ahmed. Another name recommended to the Government is Johny Sharma, who has represented the country at junior (U-13 and U-14) level. |
