Jammu | Dec 28
ITI electricians under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Unemployed ITI Electrician Association took out a rally to urge upon the government to employ them as Rehber-e- Bijli as is being done in other departments like education, Agriculture and Health.
Hundreds of trained electricians sat on road at Purani Mandi to register their protest against their long pending demand of absorbing them on Rehbar-e- Taleem pattern.
Addressing the protesters, President of Association, Rakesh Sharma said that despite being on dharna for last 266 days, government hasn't paid heed to our demand as a result of which our families are suffering from all sorts of troubles.
" So far government has only made promises with the unemployed electricians but nothing is being done to employ us," he added.
The rally after passing through main areas of city culminated at the site where they have been on dharna from last 266 days- Mubarakmandi.
