Professor Riyaz Punjabi, Professor, Centre for the Study of Social Systems, Faculty of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of the University of Kashmir.
In an order issued by Governor Lt. General (Retd) S K Sinha, in his capacity as Chancellor of the University of Kashmir, in exercise of powers vested in him under Section 12 of the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act, 1969, Professor Punjabi has been appointed as Vice Chancellor for a period of three years with effect from the date he takes over charge. |
