| Bhatti concerned over discrimination against PHE wagers | | | Early Times Reporter Rajouri | Dec 29 Zahir Abass Bhatti chairman All India Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation has expressed concern over the difference of wages of PHE employees engaged on need basis in the state. Addressing a meeting at Sioat today he said that the govt. has engaged unemployed youth in the PHE department on need basis, but it is a matter of serious concern that employees of Jammu province are being paid Rs. 500/-, 800/-, 1400/- per month, where as the employees engaged on similar pattern in Kashmir region are being paid Rs. 2100/- per month. He said, it is a great discrimination with the people of Jammu and demanded that this anomaly should be removed immediately. He further said the services of daily wagers, who have completed 7 years he regularized beside Bhatti express grave concern over plight of farmer, unemployed youth and poor people. |
