| Tehsildar, Patwari, Girdawar in crime branch net | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 29 Crime branch has booked some revenue officers and others reportedly for illegal withdrawal of compensation. Crime branch received a communication from principal secretary to government, revenue department wherein it was alleged that 11 kanals and 19 malras of state/shamlat and has come under the railway track alignment of village Kakpora Nazir Ahmed Qadri, the then tehsildar settlement Pulwama attested Shait-Indraj mutation by virtue of which the land was fraudulently shown to have been under the ownership of some local of village Kakpora who managed to tune of Rs. 16 lacs. On receipt of the communication a case was registered in crime branch Kashmir for in-depth investigation. During the course of investigation record pertaining to the case was seized and various persons were examined. It came to surface that accused Nazir Ahmad Qadiri, the then tehsildar settlement Pulwama entered suo-moto report in fardpartal declaring survery No. 467 in village Kakapora as partaible shamilat u/s 5 land revenue act on 20.6.1997, where the land in question was non partaible shamlat as the same was state land and nobody has ownership/individual righsts over the land. The Tehsildar in connivance with Girdawar Mohd. Altaf Mistry S/o Ghulam Qadir Mistri R/o Sampora Pulwama and Patwari Shuja Ahmad Andrabi S/o Mohd Shafi Andrabi R/o Ratnipora Pulwama hatched a criminal conspiracy and attested the mutation NO. 1858 in revenue record by virtue of which land measuring 11 kanals and 19 malras was fraudulently shown to have been under the ownership of the accused beneficiaries namely 1 Mushtaq Ahmed Dar S/o Gh. Mohmad Dar, 2 Gh. Qadir Dar S./o Khalil Dar, 3 Nazir Ahmed Dar S/o Jabar Dar, 4 Gh. Mohd. Bhat S/o Abdul Samad Bhat R/o and Gh. Mohd. Bhat @ Muma S/o Ab. Aziz Bhat all residents of Kakpor Pulwama in violation of rules and norms governing the subjects. Thus facilitated the above accused to obtain Rs. 16,49,100/- as undue compensation by misusing their official position and causing huge loss to the state exchequer. As per the investigation and available evidence prima facie offences under section 420, 467, 466, 468, 120 RPC r/w 5(2) P.C Act was established against the accused persons and chargesheet of the case was presented before the court of law against all the above mentioned seven accused persons for judicial determination. |
