| Coalition government power hungry, anti- poor: Sadhotra | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 30 Anti- poor policies adopted by the coalition government since 2002 has exposed the collation partners before the common masses, said Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President Jammu province while addressing a public meeting at Sampuran Parkolian today which was held under the chairmanship of Pt. Bamdev Sharma, Lambardar. Sadhotra said people are facing lot of difficulties in getting shelter even, drinking water and electricity is not being provided to the poor people, he charged. Previously MLAs use to give shelter to the poor houseless BPL people out of their Constituency Development Fund and even shallow hand pumps were also being given by the MLAs, but it is unfortunate that since the present government came into power, the MLAs have been asked to stop giving shelters and shallow hand pumps to the poor people. He said since last five years the government has not provided old age and widow pension. The people are now in a mood to bring a government of the poor people, a party (National Conference) which can serve the poor people and can fulfill the genuine aspirations of the down trodden, Sadhotra said. He asked the people not to get exploited by the hollow slogans of the parties who shall come to them during this period to fetch votes. These party, he said are power hungry , anti poor and enemies of the poor. He said National Conference is the only party which is committed to uplift the poor downtrodden and will continue to do so. He called upon the people to strengthen the hands of party and its leadership. Among others who spoke on the occasion included Prof. H.R.
