Love of theatre brings people together

Though the distance from Kashmir to Kerala is quite long but the love of theatre has brought the people of these states closer to each other at the National Drama festival in Thiruvananthapuram.
From the snow-capped mountains of Kashmir to the sprawling backwaters of Kerala, the group of artists from Jammu and Kashmir has come a long way.
The Natrang group is in Thiruvananthapuram to present its celebrated play Ghumayee said Director, Balwant Thakur. ‘Such events help integrate us and make us feel that we belong to a big country called India. We are from Jammu and Kashmir and performing in Kerala. It gives us a different kind of feel,'' said Balwant Thakur.
''It will increase the dramatic sense of people of Kerala, who love theatre and drama that is what we visualize,'' said A Santosh Kumar, Cultural Development Officer.
With five more popular plays to be staged over the next four days, theatre buffs in Kerala surely have a great opportunity ahead to sit back and enjoy the great Indian Theatre
