| BCDP demands implementation of Mandal Commission report | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Dec 30 As part of its foundation day celebrations, Backward Classes Democratic Party (BDP) organized a massive rally of its workers at exhibition ground Jammu under the leadership of Sheraz Azhar , president BDP J&K to show solidarity with the peace lovers and true nation builders for the development of backward classes. Speaking on the occasion Azhar said that it is an admitted fact that the other backward communities have been deprived of their reservation rights as recommended under Mandal Commission report. Against 27 per cent reservation of the Mandal Commission Report, only two per cent has been granted in J&K to these ill-fated communities, he said and added that the reservation quota of OBCs in the state has been diluted by granting reservation on the name of RBA, region, language and ACL just to pave way to give benefit to the blue eyed persons and families thereby ignoring Mandal report. They also demanded constitution of advisory board for OBCs, grant of 27 per cent reservation in employment opportunities, special employment drives, giving relief to migrants of Jammu division at par with Kashmir migrants and others. |
